This is the first of the series of abstract-ish orchid portraits. I call them “portraits” because of their anthropomorphic nature :) I have a few orchids myself, and come from a long line of orchid growers. I’m drawn to their alien-likeness and uniqueness in the floral world… and their survivability clinging onto trees and growing on air.

She’s been created with layers of acrylic paint, ink, condes, and acrylic paint skins. Comes read to hang in a sustainably sourced oak frame.
