Mono no Aware 4 (fourth of series) is one of those untranslatable words/phrases, and in Japanese points to the melancholic appreciation of the transience of life and things.  Painting mountains as if air or water, celebrating impermanence on grand scale.

This piece is framed in Victorian Ash (an Australian Eucalypt) and comes ready to hang. It was made in many layers, including acrylic paint skins.
