This piece was painted with many layers to create the illusion of depth, distance and the security of a cave (aka a home). A cave is another of those wondrous and familiar yet alien worlds that I try to capture… much like the miniature worlds of mosses, or the view from an airplane window above the clouds.

This piece is framed in Victorian Ash (an Australian eucalypt) and comes ready to hang. It was made in many layers, including acrylic paint skins.
