In my latest painting, ‘Gingko Over Rock’, I've aimed to capture the quiet beauty of a natural forming bonsai nestled among mossy rocks, adorned with lichen and fungi. Employing fluid painting methods, I sought to mimic nature by letting the paint flow and interact organically both on the canvas and through the layering of paint skins.

The bonsai, delicately positioned, reflects my fascination with the resilience and grace found in nature. I've observed the subtle nuances of growth and the interplay of elements, attempting to convey the essence of the bonsai's journey through time. The fluid techniques I employed were inspired by the spontaneity inherent in the natural world, attempting to echo the influences of wind, rain, and sunlight.

The moss-covered rocks, lichen, and fungi serve as a backdrop, emphasizing the interconnected relationship between the bonsai and its environment. Through this painting, I've aimed to collaborate with nature, letting it guide the creative process and contribute to the final composition.
